The next day after Romeo and Juliet profess their love for each other, why does Juliet contact Romeo through a servant? To find out when they are getting married.
When Juliet found out Romeo was listening to her “counsel” what is the meaning of the word “counsel” and how does Juliet react? Means private thoughts or secrets and she is surprised and embarrassed.
When Romeo compares his love for Juliet to the moon, why does she object the metaphor? Since the moon goes through a cycle, Juliet doesn’t want there love to change. Instead she wants it to be constant and the same.
Why does Friar Lawrence compare man to herbs? Some herbs are poisonous while others help. So, man can be mean and kind at times.
Why does Friar Lawrence agree to marry Romeo and Juliet? He thinks that if the daughter of Capulet marries the son of Montague that the fighting between the 2 would stop.
How does the nurse tease Juliet and what message does she finally give her? The nurse keeps stalling and changing the subject. The message is that Juliet should go to Friar Lawrence’s cell because there will be a husband waiting to make her a wife.
How does Mercutio specifically insult the Nurse? He’s calling her ugly by telling her to hide her face with the fan and that the fan is prettier then her face.
