What was the second Apparition and what was it’s warning? It was more powerful than the first, it was a bloody child and it told Macbeth that No man born of a women will harm Macbeth.He is invincible.
What was the third Apparition and what was it’s warning? Child crowned with a tree in his hand Macbeth will never be defeated until Great Birnam wood to high Dunsinane Hill shall comes against him. ( the tree uproot themselves)

Which witch does Hecate talk to? The first witch
Why is Hecate upset? The witches went and interacted with Macbeth and did not include her.Showed their power without her.
How does Hecate describe Macbeth? She says Macbeth is a waste and will do nothing for them. He is spiteful, wrathful. He doesn’t care about them, he is greedy, no respect, and he used them.
What is Hecate and the three witches plan? They are trying to confuse and trick Macbeth with their artificial spirits so that he will feel a false sense of security. They are trying to do this so that Macbeth will feel safe and put his guard down, putting himself in danger.
where is Macbeth holding the banquet for Banqou and what goes wrong at the banquet and why is it significant? Macbeth is holding the banquet at his palace. The room is full of people, when he (and only him) sees the ghost of Banquo.This is significant because Macbeth was in a room full of people at a banquet and only he could see the ghost. The ghost was taunting and tormenting Macbeth so he orders this spirit to leave him alone. Everyone thought he was going crazy. Lady Macbeth saved him by telling everyone to leave.

Why does Macbeth want to kill Banqou? Banquo suspects that Macbeth is up to no good. Macbeth also wants to make sure Banquo’s predictions don’t come true

“He hath wisdom that doth guide his valour to act in safety.” Who is speaking, who and what is it about? Macbeth is speaking. He think Banquo will figure out his plan.
“Our fears for Banquo stick deep, And in his royalty of nature reigns that which would be feared.’Tis much he dares, and to that dauntless temper of his mind.”( lines 54-57) Who is speaking and what is he saying? Macbeth is speaking. And he is mad at Banquo because he is supposed to father a line of future kings.
“They hailed him father to a line of kings.Upon my head they placed a fruitless crown and put a barren sceptre in my gripe, thence to be wrenched with an un lineal hand, No son of mine succeeding.”Lines (66-70) Who is speaking, who and what is it about? Macbeth is speaking. None of Macbeth’s children will be king. He is realizing that he has committed a mortal sin which will benefit Banquo’s family more than his own.
“Both of you know Banquo was your enemy.” line 131 Who is speaking to whom and what are they doing? Macbeth to that first and second murderers, and he is convincing them that Banquo is their enemy.
“Nought’s had, all’s spent, where our desire is got without content.’Ts safer to be that which we destroy than by destruction dwell in doubtful joy.” Who is speaking and who and what about? lines 6 and 9 Lady Macbeth is speaking.She thinks their lives are more difficult now then before Macbeth became king.
“We have scorched the snake, not killed it.” Line 15 Who is speaking to who and what is it about? Macbeth is talking to Lady Macbeth. They still have a big problem to take care of. The murders aren’t over yet.
How did the murderer’s kill Banquo and how did Fleance escape? All men must dismount their horses approximately 1 mile before the castle. The murderers attack Banquo and Fleance while they are walking their horses to the castle Banquo attempts to save his son by getting him out of the situation (Fleance flees) They cut Banquo’s throat and put 20 gashes in his head (overkill)Torch is dropped, no light. The murderers don’t see Fleance fleeing. The murderers most important part of the plan because is Fleance lives, he may become king one day.

What does Lennox and the Lord think about Macbeth? what is their tone like when they are taking? Tone= sarcastic they are not happy with Scotland since Macbeth became king . they are starting to put 2 and 2 together. things are strange and dont make sense. thy don’t believe that kings are killing their fathers.Guards were unconscious how would they have killed the king? If Malcolm and Donalbain would’ve stayed, Macbeth would have killed them.They believe he is a tyrant.Malcolm is with king Edward in England. Macduff wants Northumberland and Seward to help fight Macbeth. They ask for a prayer to help Macduff and to save their land.
What special gift does King Edward have? Putting his hands on people to heal them.
What convinced Malcolm that he could trust Macduff? Macduff brought up Malcolm’s mother and father.
Who is the brightest angel that fell? Duncan
Who is old Siward? One of the best soldiers in England.
